US durable goods orders down more than expected in November

US wholesale inventories increased beyond expectations in February

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – US durable goods orders fell more expected in November 2022. According to the United States Department of Commerce (Bureau of the Census), the orders highlighted a 2.1% monthly decline after the +0.7% of the previous month (data revised from a preliminary +1%). Consensus estimates indicated a -0.6%.

The given “core”i.e. net of orders from the transport sector, is up by 0.2% and compares with the +0.1% of the previous month (data revised from a preliminary figure of +0.5%) and the +0.1 % expected by the market.

If excludes the defense sectororders decreased by 2.6%, after the previous +0.4% (data revised from +0.9%).
