The happy Finnish surprise of the day was Linda Osala, who rose to share eighth place. Osala’s overall result was -1, round results of 76, 71 and 68 strokes.

France took the win and the prize money of 37,500 euros Anne-Charlotte Mora. The win was Mora’s first career on the European Tour.

Mora played 68 strokes in the final round and reached a total score of -8. Sweden played second Lisa Pettersson, who was one stroke behind Mora, who was celebrating the victory.

Wikström was involved in the fight for the top three, but he couldn’t get his game going exactly the way he wanted.

– Difficult round, at the beginning it was really difficult and there were bogs. Didn’t really sink in today either. The hitting was good and I was able to attack the flag, but the putts fell short, Wikström commented to Urheilu.

Wikström and Osala enjoyed the home competition

Playing in front of the home crowd warmed Wikström.

– It’s always nice to play in Finland and it would have been even more fun if my game had been even better. But there haven’t been many times in the top ten this year, Wikström thought.

Linda Osala improved her career-best tour ranking for the fourth time this season.

– Great feelings, the last day has often been weaker for me. Nice like this. About every other fairway there was water and even wind, Osala commented on the variable weather of the final round.

Osala had a great time in Åland.

– An absolutely incredible field. I would like to make a petition in favor of playing here next year as well. It is difficult to find a better field in Finland, Osala beamed.

Noora Komulainen ended up in 20th place, Tiia Koivisto tied for 28th place and Emily Penttilä mixed Karina Kukkonen ended up in 38th place.
