Ursula von der Leyen launches the New European Bauhaus International

(Finance) – The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will kick off the first edition of the New European Bauhaus International Festival (NEB) today from the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts. The NEB Festival has brought together creatives from all over the Union – architects, artists, designers, scientists, entrepreneurs and citizens – and aims to build together a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future. NEB draws inspiration from the multidisciplinary nature of Bauhausthe famous school of art and design born in Germany in 1919, in a moment of great complexity such as the current one and today a reference model for the European Green Deal.

The intervention of the president of the EU Commission is scheduled for 1 pm and will be introduced by Giovanna Melandri, with the participation of the Minister Dario Franceschini. The President will talk with the architect Diébédo Francis Kéré, winner of the 2022 Pritzker Prize, moderated by Monica Maggioni, Director of TG1.

During the live with Brussels, there will be several connections with some of the countries participating in the Festival (Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Germany, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Latvia, Romania, Spain and the Czech Republic) and with the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
