(Finance) – The Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Ursusannounced that the government for 2024 will soon present “to the Council of Ministers the annual competition law, a commitment that we want to implement year after year. And from this year we will also present the annual law on small and medium-sized enterprises, to facilitate and support their activities”. During an interview with SkyTg24 he then stated that if the price of petrol were to rise above 2 euros per liter the mobile excise duty mechanism, developed more than a year ago by the government, would be triggered.
“The rule onmobile excise duty we created it: if we were to reach the critical threshold, the cut would be triggered automatically”, declared Urso who, however, does not expect prices to go out of control. “Thanks to the measures for greater transparency – stated the minister – we have had in recent months the price of petrol is 1.81 euros per litre, to the benefit of all Italian citizens and businesses”.
