(Finance) – The strengthening of industrial cooperation between Italy and Denmarkwith particular attention to the space sector, was at the center of today’s meeting at Palazzo Piacentini among the Business and Made in Italy minister, Adolfo Ursoand the Danish minister ofHigher education and science, Christina Egelund. The comparison takes on particular relevance in view of the passage of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union to Denmark, scheduled for July.

One of the topics covered was the non-Italian patron on spacealready signed by Germany and Slovakia, which proposes to guide the future European regulation of the EU Commission so as not to penalize companies and guarantee full compliance with the role of the Member States. Minister Urso stressed The importance of stimulating the competitiveness of the European space sectoravoiding too rigid regulations and useless bureaucracy that could hinder industrial development.

Urso also highlighted the crucial role of the national law on Space Economyrecently approved at first reading in the Chamber, as a basis to guide the future European Space Act. Cooperation between Italy and Denmark has also developed in relation to the need to encourage investments and develop common European programs, including those of the European Space Agency. The two ministers agreed on the importance of using spatial technology in a dual way, promoting systems and programs that can strengthen the safety of the continent, in line with what the other global partners already do.
