The Brits were supposed to have played in Umeå on Tuesday and Stockholm on Wednesday, but were forced to cancel due to problems with the organizing company TADC. The concerts in Sundsvall, Gothenburg and Malmö are also cancelled.
On the band’s website, guitarist and founder Mick Box writes that they are “devastated to have to cancel more shows on the tour”, but plan to find new dates to return to.
Uriah Heep had planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the group’s 1970 debut album two years ago, but had to postpone the tour until now due to the corona pandemic.
Mick Box is the last surviving member from the group’s heyday in the early 1970s, when they had hit singles like “Easy livin'”.
