(Telestock) – An urban regeneration project of the areas within the railway station: The Municipality of Nettuno, FS Sistemi Urbani, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana and FS Park have in fact signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the demolition of the pedestrian overpass that connects via Ennio Visca and via Marche, the construction of a cycle-pedestrian path connecting the two parts of the city, and a vehicular road connecting the parking lots.
The agreement – explains the note – was signed by Antonio Reppucci, Extraordinary Commissioner of the Municipality of Nettuno, by Nicola Madonna, Head of the Central Area of FS Sistemi Urbani, Andrea Destro, CEO of FS Park and Andrea Telera, Director of the Rome Territorial Infrastructure Operations Department of RFI.
The target “is to start an urban regeneration project in the territorial context of the station, prior to: demolition of the pedestrian overpass, which connects via Ennio Visca and via Marche; construction of a cycle-pedestrian path connecting the two parts of the city; structuring of a driveway connecting the parking lots”.
Furthermore, a project is planned for the creation of a parking system, with three parking areas. parking between Via Ennio Visca and Via Marche, and the regulation of the use of the areas owned by FS Sistemi Urbani and Rete Ferroviaria Italiana by the Municipality.
The Technical Table established with the signing of the agreement will have to jointly verify and agree on the design solutions and the methods of implementation of the regeneration project.
