At the beginning of April this year, the proposal was presented – here are the cornerstones of it:
• No to restarting BB and emergency surgery in Sollefteå
• Keep the emergency department in Sollefteå open at night until further notice
• Invest in the care and treatment of elderly patients with multiple illnesses in Sollefteå hospital’s catchment area
• Consolidate specialist care at Örnsköldsvik and Sundsvall hospitals – the consultants’ proposal is that most of the surgery operations in Sollefteå, including orthopedics, be closed down
• Discontinue the inpatient care places within children’s healthcare in Sollefteå
• Strengthen primary care throughout the region through increased funding.
