Uppsala resident Johan, 34, injured in Russian attack in Ukraine

An aid team was on its way to a town in the Bakhmut region when they were attacked by a Russian drone and the vehicle exploded, the aid organization writes on social media.

A Spanish woman and a Canadian man died in the attack. Uppsala resident Johan Thyr and a German volunteer worker were seriously injured with shrapnel and burns, but the situation is said to be stable according to El Mundo.

SVT has previously interviewed Johan Thyr, who has roots in Gävle, about him driving an ambulance at the front.
