  • Update history for Update 7.3.0:

6:00 p.m.: Until then, the schedule will be tight. There is no update available to download yet and the Destiny 2 servers are still unavailable.

Last minute tips for starting before Season 23

This way you don’t lose anything: Bungie has already pointed out in advance that you should redeem all engrams and other rewards before the start of the new Season 23.

  • Collect your engrams: All unredeemed rewards from non-seasonal merchants will be removed at the start of Season 23.
  • Empty current Season 22 pass: The Annual Pass for Season 22 will be reset this evening. So don’t forget to collect your unlocked rewards from it and secure the exo-season weapon, cosmetics and resources.
  • Don’t forget old seasonpass: You can also access the Season 21 pass via the Bungie website. However, this is only possible retroactively for one season. So if you have forgotten or left any items there, you should also collect them before the reset this evening.
  • To do this, go to bungie.net and log in. Then click on your profile picture in the top right corner and then click on Season Progress. The current pass will be displayed there and you can also access Season 21 at the top left.
  • Should you still stash raids? Nope. The new maximum level of equipment will probably still be 1,810 in Season 23. So you don’t need to do that for power levels. But your artifact still benefits from this because you can then unlock and use all seasonal mods more quickly.
  • Exchange resources: Legendary fragments will slowly leave the game from Season 23 onwards. So if you don’t want to lose too much, we recommend an exchange.
  • With Master Rahool 5, you can trade Enhancement Cores for 30 Legendary Shards per day, 3 Enhancement Prisms, or 1 Ascendancy Alloy per week for 400 Legendary Shards. You can also treat yourself to a few stacks of 100 raid banners at Hawthorne.
  • You can also get rid of fragments on the moon. 1 Illusory Fragment costs you 10 Legendary Fragments there. After Season 23 begins, you can exchange 10 Illusory Fragments for 10,000 Glimmer.
  • Creates space in the safe: Probably the worst task for some Guardians is cleaning out their vault because they need more space. Destiny 2 brings an average of 40 new weapons into the game per season, which in Season 23 also includes the Dragon Breath rocket launcher.
  • However, with the help of DestinyRecipes’ handy tool, you can clean out your vault in less than 5 minutes. The tool can lock equipment to keep it or unlock it to remove it.
  • Get character ready: Since some third-party apps may not be immediately accessible, we recommend preparing your character in advance. So put your weapons and armor on the character you want to start with in Season 23.
  • By when should this be finished? With this preparation, the new Season 23 can start without any problems. Please note, however, that you only have until 3:15 p.m. today. The servers are then offline.

Maintenance on November 28th – All times for server down

If it doesn’t work, just press all the buttons.

These times are important today: Bungie informs its players about the planned downtimes via Twitter/X. At the start of the new Season 23, some players are hoping that everything will go smoothly again and that errors will be avoided. In addition, Bungie has not planned a long downtime.

This is the exact maintenance schedule:

  • Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 2:00 p.m.
  • The servers go offline at around 3:15 p.m. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
  • The brand new season trailer will start on YouTube at around 4:00 p.m. and will give you a first insight into the new content. The servers are then still offline.
  • However, during the downtime, Bungie will gradually roll out update 7.3.0 so that players can download and install it on all platforms.
  • The shooter should be online again at 6:00 p.m. and you can explore the new content.
  • The maintenance will then continue in the background until 8:00 p.m.
  • Third-party apps are also offline: As long as the background maintenance is running, connection problems may occur in the game from time to time. In addition, there may be longer login times today due to the update and the start of the new Season 23. So you may have to expect queues when logging in.

Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may not be accessible correctly, meaning you won’t be able to use them. We therefore recommend getting the character you want to start Season 23 with ready before the downtime.

That changes with Update 7.3.0 in Season 23

Maybe a mini Ahamkara will hatch in Season 23?

That’s what the update brings 7.3.0 today: In addition to the new content, the update will also contain technical changes. In this way, Bungie will balance the meta again and slow down some popular abilities.

  • Your survival skills like Banner of War and Restoration will be weakened because you simply can’t be killed.
  • Titans are getting nasty restrictions that will slow down their favorite slide, shoot, kill tactic. But the other two classes will also be hit, as Howl of the Storm, Consecration, Rain of Arrows, Lightning Surge and Stormstrike will also be restricted.
  • Bungie has also announced the first steps for adjustments to the “Fountain of Splendor”, “Guard of Twilight” (Bubble) and the neglected Stasis abilities.
  • Destiny 2 is bringing a “Go Slow” update in Season 23 because you just can’t be killed

In addition, there are still a few bug fixes pending in today’s update that Bungie still wants to take care of.

  • The Hegemony Rocket Launcher does not appear in the preview screen of the Legacy Equipment menu at the Monument of Lost Lights.
  • The “There Can Be Only One” challenge in Raid: Crota’s End cannot be completed by players who correctly complete all of the challenge’s requirements.
  • Patch Notes for Update 7.3.0 in Destiny 2
