A planned downtime is approaching in the world of Destiny 2, forcing Guardians to take an unwanted break from searching for Riven’s secrets in Season 23. MeinMMO has the exact downtime times for you.
Update history for Update 7.3.0.1:
6:10 p.m.: Just one no delay. The update just went live. On PC it is 374.87 MB. Download it and you can start Destiny 2 again. 6:00 p.m.: No response from Bungie yet. The servers are still offline. But the patch notes are already there. 3:15 p.m.: Destiny 1 and 2 will be taken offline for expected maintenance.
This is what you need to know today: This Tuesday, Destiny 2 will be temporarily shut down for updates. The servers will be unavailable and players will be logged out of the game.
Bungie stopped making updates every week. Therefore there was no maintenance interruption for two weeks. However, maintenance work is still necessary in the long term to make technical improvements, fix bugs, and ensure the overall stability of the game. Bungie is also working on optimizing its systems with a view to the upcoming DLC “The Final Form”:
Bungie has equipped its data center with new hardware.
Recently, Destiny 2’s game services have the ability to automatically restart themselves when they detect problems.
We are currently working on load and chaos testing for The Final Form and new features and new functions to speed up the recovery of parts of the Destiny infrastructure.
In this article we have summarized the procedure and schedule for today’s update 7.3.0.1. This way you know when you can’t play.
This season will be briefly interrupted today by the update:
Maintenance on December 5th – All times for server down
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players about the planned downtimes via Twitter/X. The planned downtime is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
This is the exact maintenance schedule:
Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 2:00 p.m.
The servers go offline at around 3:15 p.m. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
During the downtime, Bungie will gradually roll out update 7.3.0.1 so that players can download and install it on all platforms.
The shooter should be online again at 6:00 p.m. and you can log in again.
The maintenance will then continue in the background until 8:00 p.m.
Third-party apps are also offline: As long as the background maintenance is running, connection problems may occur in the game from time to time. In addition, maintenance queues can sometimes form when logging in because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually in order to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. You may therefore have to wait longer until you are back in the game.
Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also not be accessible properly for a while, meaning you won’t be able to use them.
That changes with Update 7.3.0.1 in Season 23
This will be included in Update 7.3.0.1: Bungie has a publicly available to-do list of things that are currently not working properly in the game. This is actively influenced by Destiny 2 players by reporting bugs on the Bungie forums.
The following bugs are currently on Bungie’s to-do list:
The Major Arcana cards in Season of the Witch incorrectly say that they expire at the end of Season 22 rather than at the end of Season 23.
Some new Guardians may be unable to spawn in the Tower Hangar when attempting to complete the “A Guardian Rises” quest.
When auto-melee is enabled, glaives will almost always perform double melee.
Guardians may experience a BIRD error in activities with a high density of fighters if they use builds that can defeat fighters in large numbers in a short period of time.
Bungie is still investigating the issue where Guardians are unable to fully complete the There Can Be Only One challenge in Crota’s ending.
Some emojis in the Fireteam Finder will not be available on certain platforms at the start of the beta test.
The Dismantle perk does not correctly refund Fusion Rifle ammo.
The Oracle Offering cannot be submitted to the Oracle Machine.
Checkmate Control does not count toward Weekly Challenge progress.
Rewards for Guardians who complete Riven’s Lair and The Coil seasonal activities will not drop regularly.
The Belisar-D Pulse Rifle will no longer drop for players who complete their placement matches in Competitive Crucible.
The title “Star Baker” is no longer available.
The Festival of the Lost quests are still showing up for some Guardians.
Some rocket launchers no longer appear in the preview screen.
New dungeon and season armor sets will appear in players’ appearance screens, even if they are not unlocked.
Activity Ghost Mod use wildcard icons.
Occasionally Eva Levante’s head may be missing.
Veist auto rifles can be partially rotated off-screen in the inspection view.
Players can die from finishers if the enemy dies before the finisher animation completes.
The Mighty Friends and Radiant Light armor mods require at least one armor charge to activate.
The Resilience stat determines the damage resistance of the previous level if it is a multiple of 10. A resilience of 100 adequately provides the intended benefit.
If you die in the final boss arena of the Hyper Web Power Strike, the Guardian’s spirit may become stuck in the ground.
Player name changes are not infinitely customizable via bungie.net. Several “number guardians” continue to wait for the option to change their player name again instead of receiving the message “You do not have any name changes available”.
This is not a comprehensive list of all known issues, but rather a targeted list of specific sources of error. If there are any further defects within the game, it would be helpful if you would share them in our comments section.
Patch notes for update 7.3.0.1 in Destiny 2
What’s in the patch notes? Bungie publishes the list of all changes for the update in the form of patch notes. However, a full overview of all fixed issues and improvements will not be posted online until this evening.
As soon as these are published, we will update our article for you and link to the patch notes, as something can still change or be corrected afterwards.
As Guardians prepare for the temporary hiatus, anticipation remains for a new activity in Destiny 2 that is currently receiving high praise: Hailed as the most beautiful dungeon ever, Destiny 2: Warlord’s Ruin offers chilling adventures on a mountain fortress
