Update 7.2.5.2 from October 31st. is – All patch notes and information

Another update for Destiny 2 is due this Tuesday. MeinMMO tells you when the server will be down and what updates can be expected.

Update to update 7.2.5.2:

6:10 p.m.: The update is here and is 135.6 MB on PC.

3:15 p.m.: Destiny 2 has just shut down its servers. The downtime will last until the weekly reset. As always, we will keep you updated on the status of the update.

This is what you need to know today: Even after the quake at Bungie and Sony, work on Destiny 2 continues as usual.

  • Players can expect the routine update number 7.2.5.2 and the associated server down today.
  • After the update, the last week of the Halloween event, the “Festival of the Lost”, will take place. It ends with the weekly reset on November 7th. So you still have time until then to grab all the triumphs and secure the available rewards. Including the black leather memento that everyone in the game is currently keen on.
  • If you don’t know what happens on Halloween in Destiny 2, watch this video. We will then inform you in this article about when it is not possible to play Destiny 2 today.

Maintenance on October 31st – All times for server down

These times are important today: Bungie informs its players about the planned downtimes via Twitter/X. MeinMMO brings you this information with the downtimes for Germany so that you can better plan your personal gaming evening.

Important NOTE: Due to the time change, downtime will begin one hour earlier today. In total, however, the servers are offline for around 2 hours and 45 minutes, as usual. Only the weekly reset will now take place again at 6:00 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m.

This is the exact maintenance schedule:

  • Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 2:00 p.m.
  • The servers go offline at around 3:15 p.m. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
  • During the downtime, Bungie will release update 7.2.5.2. It will be rolled out gradually so players can download and install it on all platforms.
  • At 6:00 p.m. everything should be online again and you can try to log in again.
  • The maintenance will then continue in the background until 8:00 p.m.
  • Third-party apps are also offline: As long as the background maintenance is running, connection problems may occur in the game from time to time.

In addition, maintenance queues can sometimes form when logging in because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually in order to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. You may therefore have to wait longer until you are back in the game.

Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also not be accessible properly for a while, meaning you won’t be able to use them.

That changes with Update 7.2.5.2 in Season 22

For Immaru, Guardians from Destiny 2 are annoying neo-nerds or meatballs.

This will be included in Update 7.2.5.2: Bungie has a publicly available to-do list of things that are currently not working properly in the game. This is actively influenced by Destiny 2 players by reporting bugs on the Bungie forums.

The following bugs are currently on this list:

  • Occasionally, killing Crota after his kill timer has expired will yield loot but will not count as completing the raid.
  • In the Haunted Sectors, the spawn dialogs for Headless and Summoning Circles may overlap. So Immaru is not only offensive, but also a bit annoying at times.
  • Part of the description of the Icarus Hook aspect is missing. It should also include the following: “Quickly defeating targets – in mid-air – with the Super or any weapon grants healing.”
  • Players can die if a finisher is performed and the enemy dies before the finisher animation completes.
  • The Resilience stat provides the previous level of damage resistance at multiples of 10. However, 100 Resilience correctly provides the intended benefit.
  • Not to forget: Player name changes cannot be adjusted infinitely via bungie.net. Several “number guardians” continue to wait for the option to change their player name again instead of receiving the message “You do not have any name changes available”.
  • If you know of any other bugs in the game that aren’t listed here but you’ve noticed, feel free to share them in our comments section.

Patch Notes for Update 7.2.5.2 in Destiny 2

What’s in the patch notes? Bungie publishes the list of all changes for update 7.2.5.2 in the form of patch notes. However, a full overview of all fixed issues and improvements will not be posted online until this evening.

As soon as these are published, we will update our article for you and link to the patch notes, as something can still change or be corrected afterwards.

Read the current patch notes for update 7.2.5.2 here as soon as they are published.

What else is important? Maintenance periods are unfortunately an inevitable part of a live service game like Destiny 2, as they form the basis for a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.

So while they may temporarily restrict access to the game, they are a necessary step to ensure that bugs do not remain in the game and that you can play as usual and without too much disruption.

Keep an eye on this article to stay up to date on the maintenance progress and look forward to the new Weekly Reset waiting right after the update is complete.

This topic is currently being hotly debated in the Destiny 2 community: Destiny 2’s most important DLC is being postponed for a few months, probably due to layoffs
