Up to dozens of rockets have been fired from Lebanon

According to Israel, Palestinian groups living in Lebanon were behind the rocket attacks, not the influential Hezbollah group, Reuters reports.

According to the Israeli army, up to 34 rockets were fired from the Lebanese side on two occasions on Thursday. The army has managed to repel 25 of them. At least five of the rockets have hit Israel.

It is the largest attack from Lebanon to Israel since 2006.

According to the sources of the news agency Reuters, Israel believes that the Palestinian groups living in Lebanon were behind the attacks, and not the influential Lebanese group Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran.

Israeli Foreign Minister So Cohen stated in his tweet that Israel will take all measures to defend itself from rocket attacks.

Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati condemned the strikes and said Lebanon would not accept the use of its soil for destabilizing operations.
