Up to 35 years in prison demanded for defrauding dozens

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) is demanding up to 3.5 years in prison for defrauding dozens of elderly people throughout the country. The five suspects came into the picture after a case of bank helpdesk fraud in Eemnes in 2022. The vulnerable victims were allegedly called by their bank and tricked into handing over their PIN code.
