Unsettled weather awaits – throughout next week.
– Tonight, a real rainy weather comes in and after that there will be mostly showers, says Angelica Lundberg, meteorologist at SMHI.
After Saturday’s warm weather, with 20-25 degrees in large parts of the country, rain and lower temperatures are on the way.
– We have a low pressure over the British Isles that looks like it will break in here during the night to Sunday. It looks like it will be really wet in Götaland and eastern Svealand, says Angelica Lundberg.
The amounts of rain appear to border on the 70 millimeters of rain in 24 hours which results in SMHI issuing a yellow warning for rain.
– It’s not quite that amount, it’s somewhere between 20 and 50 millimeters, that’s how wet it will be. And there are areas that look like they will be really strong, close to the rainfall limit of 35 millimeters in six hours, says Angelica Lundberg.
The rain weakens
It will also be windy during Sunday in large parts of the country with occasionally healthy to locally strong gusts, in the south southwest wind and in the north southeast.
The rainy weather moves north during Sunday. It weakens somewhat, but there will still be rain and showers in almost the entire country.
Unsteady next week
– Once it has passed, it will be a bit more showery, unstable weather with variable cloudiness and no super high temperatures, but somewhere between 15 and 20 degrees. Not completely cloudy, the sun can peek through from time to time. And that’s basically how it looks for the rest of the week. Classic Swedish summer weather, says Angelica Lundberg.
