UNRWA Suspends Aid Transports to Gaza via Key Border Crossing | News in brief

UNRWA, the UN relief agency for Palestinian refugees, said on Sunday that it will suspend aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom border crossing.

Kerem Shalom between Israel and Gaza is the main route for aid transport to Gaza.

Director of UNRWA Philippe Lazzarini said message service in X that the route is not safe. According to him, armed gangs stole a large aid convoy in mid-November.

– Yesterday we tried to bring a few food trucks along the same route. They were all taken, Lazzarini told X.
