Last year over 200,000 bills were paid over the counter. But the service is no longer considered profitable according to the company’s owner Clearon.
According to the Swedish Post and Telecommunications Agency, there is nothing that will replace the service and a report from the county administrations shows that those affected are the elderly, asylum seekers and the disabled.
