United Way Opens Up Impact Funding Applications for Next Three-Year Cycle

The United Way Perth-Huron has opened its Impact Funding Applications for its Next Three-Year Cycle That Runs from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2029.

This Funding Approach, United Way Officials Said in a Release, “is intended to provide Financial Stability for Ongoing Projects and/Or Programs that Are part of an Organization’s over-arching structure and mission.”

In Addition to this Increased Financial Stability for Applicants, The Multi-Year Funding also Provids These Charities and Non-Profits A Greater Capacity to Measure Outcomes, United Way Officials noted.

While there is Range of Organizations that are Eligible to Receive Funding through the United Way, the charity is giving greater emphasis on “Organizations and programs that serve equity-denied groups or populations who are vulnerable by social challenges.”

These include communities that face meaning collective collective challenges in participating in society, as well as marginalization due to historic, social or environmental barriers based on age, ethnicity, disability, economic status, indigeny, sex, nationality, race, sexual orientation or gender identity, Officials Said.

Funding Applications Will Be Completed in Two Phases. The First, an expression of interest, is due by March 12 at midnight. Applicants will be notified by April 16 If their Expression of Interest has been accepted, Declined or Needs Further Clarification. The second phase, if the expression of interest is approved, will be a full application that is due by may 16.

WILL BE EVALUATED BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

• The Program Provids Service in Perth or Huron Couties;
• The Program Reduces or Prevents Poverty in the Community;
• The Program Prioritizaes Service to One or More Equity-Denied and Vulnerable Populations;
• The Program Aligns with the Local United Way’s Community Impact and Investment Plan; and
• The Program Addresses An Urgent Need Facing Our Community.

Organizations must also have an active board of directors or an equivalent, have annual financial statements, and fulfil the United Way’s Sociology-Demographic Data Collection, Reporting and Evaluations Requirements. Successful Applicants Will Also Need To Submit annual Reports to the United Way.
