(Finance) – Great Britain’s M4 money supply decreased by 0.1% in October 2024, after the +0.5% recorded the previous month and compared to the +0.4% of analysts’ estimates. The data is published by the Bank of England.
In the same period, seasonally adjusted consumer loans stood at £1.098 billion, down from £1.221 billion in the previous month (1.3 billion consensus).
Net loans to private individuals showed growth to 4.532 billion, compared to the 3.8 billion recorded previously and above the 4.100 billion consensus. Mortgage loans recorded 3.44 billion from 2.57 billion previously (consensus 2.85 billion).
