United Kingdom, a major social crisis

United Kingdom a major social crisis

The British public health service is facing the biggest day of strike in its history on Monday… Nurses and paramedics have decided to strike together. This movement is a continuation of the strikes observed last week by teachers, airport staff, public service and rail transport. All are demanding wage increases.

The UK is facing double-digit inflation and incomes are not keeping up. The population, hard hit by the crisis, approved the movement, but the government displayed its firmness: it refused to give in to wage demands and tried to restrict the right to strike. Tonight in Decryption, we talk about the major social crisis affecting the United Kingdom.
