(Tiper Stock Exchange) – UnipolSaian insurance company listed on Euronext Milan, has achieved results in line with the objectives of the Strategic Plan in 2022making a consolidated net result of 651 million euros, compared to 723 million euros in the previous year. Net of the extraordinary items that characterized the 2021 and 2022 results, including the allocation of a solidarity fund for the early retirement of around 900 employees accounted for in the last quarter, the normalized net result 2022, equal to 789 million euros, is significantly higher than the 2021 normalized result, equal to 596 million euros.
As at 31 December 2022 the direct insurance incomegross of reinsurance cessions, amounted to 13,645 million euros, up (+2.4%) compared to 13,329 million euros as at 31 December 2021.
Direct collection damage8,304 million euros, recorded significant growth (+4.5%) compared to the 7,943 million euros reached as at 31 December 2021, thanks to the good results both in the Carwhich recorded premiums of €3,888m, up 1.3% on the previous year, and in the Non-Motor business, with premium income of €4,416m and growth of 7.6% on 31 December 2021
In the field Lifethe Group achieved direct premiums of 5,341 million euros, substantially in line (-0.8%) with the 5,386 million euros recorded in 2021, in an unfavorable market context, characterized by high levels of inflation, high volatility of financial markets and rising interest rates.
L’solvency index UnipolSai’s individual ratio as at 31 December 2022 was 288% (326% at the end of 2021), while the consolidated solvency ratio based on economic capital was 274%2 (284% as at 31 December 2021).
UnipolSai Assicurazioni closed 2022 with a statutory profit of €144.7m. Based on this result, the Board of Directors approved the proposal to the Shareholders’ Meeting distribution of the entire profit for the year and part of the reserves of distributable profits – in particular, of the extraordinary reserve – for 308 million euros, and therefore for a total of 452.7 million euros, corresponding to a dividend for the 2022 financial year equal to 0.16 euro for each share.
