Union no to long salary agreement

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The trade unions say no to the mediators’ first proposal for a three-year agreement, while the employers say yes, with some hesitation.

– It is far too uncertain a situation to sign such a long agreement, says IF Metall’s chairman Marie Nilsson. Some salary levels are not included in the first draft agreement. They will come in the next mediation bid.

Last fall, the union requested a 4.4 percent wage increase in a one-year agreement. The employers responded with a two percent wage increase plus a lump sum of SEK 3,000 in a one-year agreement.
