Unifil: Israel flagrantly violated international law on Lebanon border | News in brief

On Saturday, the UN peacekeeping mission Unifil operating in Lebanon accused the Israeli armed forces of a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council Resolution 1701.

The resolution in question is the basis for the cease-fire agreement between Israel and the extremist organization Hezbollah, signed in November.

Unifil said that on Saturday morning, the Bulldozer of the Israeli Armed Forces destroyed the observation tower used by the Lebanese Armed Forces and the barrel that marked the so-called blue line, which is considered the border between Israel and Lebanon.
