(Finance) – In 2022 Unicredit recorded a record profit of 6.5 billion which, according to the documents prepared in view of the meeting at the end of the month, also raises the contribution to the Unicredit Foundation: it goes from 4 million to over 20 million.
Since 2003, the foundation has always supported projects of significant social impact and innovation, giving back 125 million euros to the communities in which the bank operates. Furthermore, in the last 12 years, UniCredit Foundation has awarded more than 300 study and research grants to support 1,200 young students and researchers, for a total of 22.5 million euro at European level.
In 2022, in a context characterized by general geopolitical uncertainty and the continuous aftermath of the pandemic crisis, UniCredit Foundation allocated a total of 5.5 million euros to social projects.
The foundation leads how the group engages with the communities in which it operates, with initiatives such as the partnership with Teach for All serving to give life to the foundation’s commitment to support Europe’s new generation.
