UniCredit launches “Skills for Transition” program

(Telestock) – UniCredit announced today the launch of Skills for Transitiona social program that provides a strategic training for young people and companies to support them in their journey towards the green transition. The program will develop the necessary skills to respond to the needs of an ever-changing environment, while generating a measurable social impact. The initiative, entirely funded by the bank, is in line with UniCredit’s strong commitment to promoting a fair and just transition and its ongoing support for education, a key factor for the future of Europe. This is part of the bank’s stated objective, in line with its ESG commitments, to provide communities with the levers for progress.

The Skills for Transition programme, which is being launched simultaneously in six countries of UniCredit Group (Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania), is divided into two dedicated initiatives, aimed at two different beneficiaries: students and workers of UniCredit’s client companies, to help them play an active role in a fair and equitable transition.

The initiative dedicated to the studentsdeveloped by POLIMI Graduate School of Managementoffers those selected the opportunity to participate in two training courses, a Master for recent graduates and a four-month bootcamp for current students and graduates. Both aim to increase knowledge and awareness of the green transition and the Net Zero framework, helping them acquire skills that will increase their future job prospects.

The course It also includes the collaboration with some of the most active companies in the green transition. Students will tackle specific business challenges and gain experience by putting their new skills into practice.

The initiative aimed at workersdeveloped in collaboration with Accenture, provides training to the workforce of UniCredit’s client companies, offering specific learning paths to increase skills. The training courses will be delivered starting from the last quarter of the year, via a digital platform, in the local language of each country.
