(Finance) – Over 86,000 votes in 58 days, with a daily average of almost 1,500 votes and 175,000 euros in additional donations collected from over 8,000 supporters. The fourteenth edition of the solidarity and awareness campaign organized by UniCredit “1 vote, 200,000 concrete aid – A gesture that makes us a community”which has seen well rewarded 177 non-profit organizations among the 1200 who took part in the initiative. The 200 thousand euros of this edition, added to the amounts of the previous ones and to the voluntary contributions spontaneously disbursed by those who supported the initiative with votes and donations, lead to over 4
million euros the total sum distributed since 2010, thanks to the bank’s initiative in favor of third sector organisations.
This year, the first place is the Banco Alimentare Onlus Foundation which, since 1989, has coordinated and led the Banco Alimentare Network throughout the country. On the front line especially during this period of global health emergency, the Foundation promotes the recovery of food surpluses and their redistribution to charitable structures. The organization will benefit from a 12 thousand euro UniCredit donation. Second place is Paradigma scs Onlus Social Cooperative of Turin which develops both scientific models of intervention and social projects in favor of disabled people and minors, while promoting training activities. Thanks to the “1 vote, 200,000 concrete aid” initiative, the organization will benefit from a 12,000 euro UniCredit donation. Third place is instead AICDA ODV (Italian Association of Citizens and Active Disabled) of Bella (PZ). The association, made up mostly of disabled volunteers, deals with integration and inclusion, through sporting and tourist events, cultural itineraries, food education and
charity. 12 thousand euros will go to the association.
The site www.ilmiodono.it is the UniCredit web platform, whose aim is to put the participating Non-Profit Organizations in touch with a vast number of donors, who can contribute with a donation at any time in a simple and safe way.
Thanks to this project, UniCredit makes available 200 thousand euros from the Carta Etica fundthe fund intended for solidarity initiatives in the area which is fed with a percentage of each expense made using the UniCreditCard Flexia Classic Etica credit cards, UniCreditCard Visa Infinite in the Ethical version and UniCreditCard Business Aziendale in the Ethical version, at no additional cost for the holder .
