Daan has wanted to have children for a long time. “That is difficult, that is sadness, that is mourning. As a gay man it is very difficult to find a partner who also wants that. The chance that it will happen is small and it is getting smaller and smaller. And if you already have that partner I think that is why I wrote this performance. It was also a kind of grieving process for myself to put all those things that I have been struggling with on my own for so long.”
