(Finance) – The Competition and Market Guarantor Authority (AGCM) has fined with 3 million euros Unieuro and with 1.2 million the subsidiary Monclick for unfair business practices, connected to a December 2021 provision concerning online sales activity through the respective sites. It can be read in the Authority’s weekly bulletin.
The Antitrust said the companies “have repeated some conduct deemed unlawful in the provision”, attributable in particular to the dissemination of misleading information on the characteristics of the commercial offers, with specific reference to the availability and delivery times of the products, as well as the incorrect management of the online purchase process.
On the other hand, as regards the conduct relating to the post-sales managementno elements emerged from the proceedings documents such as to configure a recurrence by the companies of the conduct censured in last year’s provision.
