Unexpected news for Ebba Andersson after the great success with the Jerring prize – now being pushed from the A team at the World Cup

Ebba Andersson became the big winner of the Sports Gala.
When she received the people’s award “Jerring prize”.
But now she is being pushed from the Swedish A team at the World Cup.

In the end, the sports gala was a great success for Ebba Andersson, despite the fact that she was not nominated for any of the usual awards. But thanks to the merits of the Swedish people, the Swedish WC queen received the finest prize when she received the Jerring Prize.

Andersson’s success

Ebba won in superior style ahead of both pre-favourites Armand Duplantis and Daniel Ståhl. However, the 26-year-old could not be there for the Sports Gala and instead had to participate in a video link when the prestigious award was handed out on Monday evening.

The reason for her absence was that there are new World Cup competitions in Goms, Switzerland. Already on Friday, it’s time for the mixed relay and Sweden will start with two different teams.

Ebba gets poked

But unexpectedly, the Jerring Prize winner is kicked from the A team and instead has to go with the second team. In the first team, the Swedish national ski team has selected William Poromaa, Frida Karlsson, Jens Burman and Lynn Svahn.

While the second team becomes the skaters Johan Häggström, Ebba Andersson, Edwin Anger and Maja Dahlqvist. It is also noteworthy that Jonna Sundling doesn’t get the chance at all, she won the mixed relay for Sweden last time.
