Hundreds of people were taken hostage in the attacks carried out by Hamas’s armed force, the Izz al-Din al-Qasssam Brigades, against Israel within the scope of the Aqsa Flood operation launched on October 7. Hamas had recently released two of these hostages for ‘humanitarian reasons’.
ISRAEL REJECTED THE HOSTAGES
According to Reuters, while the fate of the hostages held by Hamas remains unclear, it was announced by the Hamas spokesman that two more hostages will be released today. The statement continued, while it was announced that the two hostages would be released for ‘humanitarian reasons’, but it was stated that Israel refused to take the hostages.
PALESTINE-ISRAEL CONFLICTS
Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack against Israel under the name “Aqsa Flood” on the morning of October 7, against Israel’s violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided the Beit Hanun-Erez Border Gate on the Gaza-Israel border, captured it and entered the settlements within Israel.
The Israeli army also launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of warplanes.
It was reported that 1,400 Israelis, including 306 soldiers, died and 4,834 Israelis were injured in the attacks carried out from Gaza.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 4 thousand 385 people, including 1756 children, died and more than 13 thousand people were injured in Israel’s attacks on Gaza. 16 journalists lost their lives in Israeli attacks.
It was stated that 84 Palestinians died in the attacks of Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank.
In the clashes that started between the Israeli army and Hezbollah on Israel’s Lebanese border on October 8, 13 Hezbollah members, 2 Islamic Jihad members and 3 civilians, one of whom was a journalist, lost their lives.
Three Israeli soldiers and one Israeli civilian lost their lives in the attacks carried out by Lebanon.
