The company received approval Wednesday to expand the “Vegas Loop,” an underground tunnel system that carries passengers with Tesla vehicles.

The approved expansion will expand the network by approximately 40 kilometers and allow for 18 new stations.

The company quoted Clark County Nevada’s tweet that it had approved the plan, saying, “The Vegas Loop is expanding – 65 miles (about 105 kilometers) and 69 stations!” He used his words and thanked them. Thus, he announced his new plan on social media.

According to TechCrunch, the commissioners voted 6 to 1 after The Boring Company’s attorney, Stephanie Allen, assured that the company, not the taxpayers, would bear all the costs of the project.

THE ONLY OPPOSIBLE VOTE FROM HIM

The only dissenting vote came from commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, who voiced her concerns that the transit system only serves tourists and does not take into account resort and casino workers, who is said to have received calls from people in her area that it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to get to work due to the construction of the tunnels.

CURRENT LENGTH…

Currently, the Vegas Loop is approximately 3-3.5 kilometers long with five stops around the Las Vegas Convention Center. The company plans to dig more tunnels connecting the network to Harry Reid International Airport, Allegiant Stadium, downtown Las Vegas and even Los Angeles.

Some of the newly approved stations will allegedly be located on Las Vegas Boulevard near the airport, as well as in Chinatown, Town Square Las Vegas and Harmon Square.
