The victim was attacked on the night of Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 June by a group of five boys on the Jaagpad in a bicycle tunnel under the A28. One of the perpetrators kicked his rear wheel, causing him to fall to the ground. He was then robbed of his phone, bicycle and other belongings.
