Secretary General of the UN António Guterres condemns the collective punishment of Palestinians in Gaza and says there is no justification for it. He commented on the matter to the news agency AFP on Monday.
Guterres says that as UN Secretary General, he has not witnessed anything that can be compared to the number of deaths and destruction in the Gaza Strip.
Israel struck Gaza in October and has continued to strike ever since. According to the Gaza health authorities under Hamas, Israel has killed at least 41,000 people in Gaza since the beginning of October.
