Queues are kilometers long with trucks full of wheat, which have been standing still on the side of the road for up to nine days outside the city of Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine. Ukraine accuses Russia, which controls the Black Sea, of blocking the export of grain from Ukrainian ports.
On Monday, the UN called for “urgent measures” to restart food exports from Ukraine.
Could lead to famine in Africa
Famine in parts of Africa is feared to be the result if the flow of food products from Ukraine does not start again, reports TV4 Nyheterna foreign reporter Johan Fredriksson, who is on site in Odessa.
