Within another investigation, the Umeå Police had caught the eye of the woman and caught suspicion. The days before the arrest in Stockholm, the police listened to a phone call that the woman had with a close relative.
The woman told her she acts drug courier.
– Yes, okay. I but I understand. I’m not going to say anything to anyone, the relative replied.
When the woman arrived at Stockholm a few days later, the Umeå Police’s scout was in place to monitor her. They saw her a taxi to an address in Huddinge where she and a man from Norrbotten stayed overnight in a caravan.
Deemed to have been couriers
They were later seen leaving the caravan carried on bags and at a house search the police found drugs.
Analyzes have shown that the drug in the caravan and the drug that the police seized with the Umeå woman and the Norrbotten man came from the same manufacturing party. They are suspected to have handled half a kilo of amphetamine, a kilo of cannabis and several other drug -classified preparations.
Umeå District Court concludes that the caravan was some kind of layer for drugs and that the drug would be distributed to addicts. The Umeå woman and the man from Norrbotten are estimated to have been two of the couriers.
Received assignment by unknown person
In the woman’s phone, the police found a conversation between her alias and another person, which shows that the woman is invited to carry out an assignment for compensation.
The woman has been convicted before. As late as twelve days before the police struck at the Central Station in Stockholm, she was sentenced for drug offenses and was punished with prison for one year and seven months.
The man is also convicted of four cases of drug sales. He is punished with prison for three years and six months.
