Utrecht – The drug prednisolone does not appear to be the solution for people with smell problems after a corona infection. Researchers do see that patients’ sense of smell continues to improve on its own, even long after an infection. “That is of course good news,” says ENT doctor Digna Kamalski, who led a major study from UMC Utrecht and investigated whether the drug prednisolone improves the sense of smell.
