Umbrella Academy changes its rating with season 3
The production, which was previously designated as TV-14, is moving to TV-MA with the new season. In other words, the production suitable for those over the age of 14 has now been taken to the adult level, which means that the production will include more sexual content, more profanity and more violence.
Of course, since we haven’t met Umbrella Academy season 3 yet, it is not possible for us to comment on what it will mean exactly. The main reason we don’t know what to expect from the series’ third season is because it jumps beyond the comics. While it will clearly feature something from volume 3 of the comics, production will continue with the arrival of Sparrow Academy.

The executive producer of the series, Steve Blackman, says that he worked very closely with the producers of the comics, Gerard and Gabriel, getting tips for the next episodes, and sometimes adding them to their novels by getting information from him. When this is the case, it is quite possible that things such as high violence and smoking in the comics will come to the series.
