Ten years after Part 2, Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn confirmed in October 2023 that he is working on a new film in the violent superhero series. The success of Kick-Ass at the time opened the door to later genre productions such as Deadpool or Amazon’s The Boys series. There have been hardly any content details about the reboot so far. The director only assured that not a single one of the old characters should return.
Now Vaughn has revealed details about his current Kick-Ass plan, which will include the upcoming film Finale of a completely different trilogy might. That sounds as ambitious as it is confusing.

As Collider has exclusively learned, the mysterious Kick-Ass reboot is intended as the finale of a still relatively unknown trilogy. Vaughn talked about how the script for the superhero reboot is about halfway done.

At the same time, the new Kick-Ass part should bring up the rear after two completely different films. One of them is finished, that is School fight and was co-produced by Vaughn and directed by former stunt coordinator turned director Damien Walters.
As the title makes abundantly clear, School Fight is about several things Students who resolve their conflicts in brutal fights. Vaughn didn’t explain in more detail how the whole story would ultimately fit into a kick-ass superhero universe. The middle part of the trilogy is supposed to be a film called Vram, about which there is no information yet.
