The musician and composer died quickly in his summer cottage on Skaftö. He was found by the family on Tuesday evening.
It is the concert organizer Nöjet AB that, in agreement with Ulf Dageby’s family, confirms the death.
– It must have happened quickly. We last met last week for a coffee in Majorna. We planned for upcoming gigs but also talked about things that friends do, says Birger Hult at Nöjet AB to the newspaper.
Birger Hult has worked with Ulf Dageby since 1982 and the two quickly became close friends.
– We have sat many thousands of miles in the same car with a number of good conversations. Then you get close to each other, says Birger Hult, who praises Dageby’s musical versatility and believes that he left an indelible mark. Not least in Gothenburg.
