Ukrainian refugees in France: welcoming disabled athletes [3/5]

Ukrainian refugees in France welcoming disabled athletes 35

Thanks to a long chain of solidarity: associations, public authorities, individual commitments… Young high-level swimmers were able to train daily at the Massy swimming pool, in the Paris region. They are accompanied on a daily basis by the Paul Guinot association, which usually supports blind and visually impaired people. Just before the summer, they were even able to go to a very reputable rehabilitation and functional rehabilitation center in Kerpape, in Brittany. It was there, on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, that Éric Chaurin met them.

The war in Ukraine caused the departure of at least five million people. France welcomes around 100,000. This week, we invite you to meet the refugees or those around them. Third episode, with a group of young disabled Ukrainian swimmers.
