Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi does not trust the Russian President. Zelenskyi believes that Russia would continue the war even if its peace plan was agreed to.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi will not accept Russia’s peace terms.
Zelenskyi said on Friday that the Russian president Vladimir Putin the proposals to end the war are ultimatums and that Russian President Putin is doing the same as the Nazi leader of Germany once did Adolf Hitler.
In his speech earlier today, Putin said that Russia would stop attacking Ukraine if Ukraine gave up its NATO goal and the West gave up sanctions against Russia.
In addition, Putin said that Ukraine should hand over the territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson that it occupied in Ukraine.
Russia illegally annexed the territories in 2022.
Zelenskyi told the Italian SkyTG24 news site at the G7 meeting that Putin cannot be trusted.
– He doesn’t stop. He is doing exactly the same thing that Hitler did back in the day, Zelenskyi said.
Apparently, Zelenskyi was referring to the German leader’s expansionist efforts on the eve of World War II, Reuters writes.
