The Ukrainian men’s national football team defeated Albania in the Nations League match on Tuesday night.
Yesterday, Tuesday, a thousand days passed since Russia started its war of aggression against Ukraine. It is also taken into account by the players of Ukraine during the match against Albania.
Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko27, gave Ukraine the lead in the Albania match after five minutes. After the goal, Zinchenko asked for a shirt with the number 1000 on it.
The Football Association of Ukraine also reminded about the war and its commemoration day on their social media accounts.

Five minutes from the previous one and Roman Yaremchuk28, gave Ukraine a 2–0 lead. The match finally ended with a 2–1 victory for Ukraine.
Ukraine, which plays in the B series of the Nations League, finished second in its group. It means that the team still qualifies for a place in the A series. Albania finished last in its group, so like Finland, it drops to the C series.
