The Ukrainian national team in the Tour de ski has disappeared.
When the competitions were supposed to start on New Year’s Day, no one knows where they are.
– I don’t know where they are. They just never showed up to the start today, says Michal Lamplot, head of competition at the International Ski Federation to Expressen.
On New Year’s Day, the fourth stage of the Tour de ski started in Toblach, but not all competitors made it to the start. The Ukrainian national team has disappeared without a trace, reports Expressen.
– I don’t know what happened, says Synne Dyrhaug, press manager at the International Ski Federation (FIS).
The association has not received any notification that the team did not intend to show up, in normal cases they usually notify you if they are not coming to the start.
– There is no rule that says you have to notify us. But on a day like this with the start of the hunt, it would have been good for us to be notified when the starting order is a bit special, says Michal Lamplot, competition director at Fis.
