Ukrainian leader Zelenksiy expressed his resentment towards Turkey. While talking about Turkey’s support and mediation role, Zelenskiy described his acceptance of Russian tourists as a double standard and noted that he “doesn’t find it right at all”. Zelenskiy also argued that Turkey had to choose between being truthful or not.
“IT’S NOT THING TO HAPPEN”
Zelensky spoke to Greek ERT television. According to the RIA Novosti news agency, Zelenskiy said in his speech that he was offended by Turkey’s acceptance of Russian tourists:
“Turkey, on the one hand, plays the role of a mediator and supports Ukraine with important steps, on the other hand, we see that they are making preparations, for example, for tourists, specifically for tourists from Russia. As the president, I have to say that if we want to have friendly relations, That’s not what’s going to happen.”
“Are you on the side of truth or not”
The Ukrainian leader described Turkey’s acceptance of Russian tourists as a “double standard”. Zelensky continued:
“You can’t manage this situation this way, it’s a double standard. This is not true at all. That’s why I brought Turkey’s attention to this: In my opinion, you can’t act like this, are you in favor of truth or not? You have to make a choice.”
