Ukrainian family moves from Woudenberg to Barneveld: ‘Our youngest daughter feels good where we feel good’

Ukrainian family moves from Woudenberg to Barneveld Our youngest daughter

Life in Woudenberg takes some getting used to for Natali, Valera and their two daughters Michelle and Angelina in the first few weeks. They leave Kiev in a hurry, a large city with more than three million inhabitants. They arrived in a village with just over 13,000 people and great distances between home and school. “In the beginning, many things in the Netherlands were not familiar to me, I did not understand a lot and I told myself that I could not live like this, this is not mine at all. But now it’s a little easier to accept life outside the city. This summer the weather was good and in the fall too, that makes it easier. When our children move to a bigger city and see big houses, our youngest immediately asks if we are back in Ukraine.”
