Ukrainian children are taught together at the Utrecht Language School, but teachers are still badly needed

Ukrainian children are taught together at the Utrecht Language School

Natalya Kovalenko’s 8-year-old son has been going to Language School since last Monday. “He was very nervous because everything was new. But now he really likes it,” says his mother. She fled Kiev with Micha and now lives with a host family in Utrecht. Her husband stayed behind in Kiev and she has an adult daughter in the Netherlands. Natalya is happy that Micha can go to school here. “He can play with other kids and has already made a boyfriend,” she says.
