Ukraine’s ambassadors to several countries have been fired by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Norwegian media report. This applies to the ambassadors of Norway, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India.
The Ukrainian ambassador to Norway, Vyacheslav Jatsiuk, tells NRK that the decision is routine.
– This is just a routine rotation of ambassadors. There is no politics involved in this, he says.
– In Ukraine, ambassadors are appointed for four years. I have been privileged to be an ambassador for six years.
