ISTAR, short for Intelligence, Survillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance acts as an eye on the enemy. By gathering and analyzing information along the front line in real time, the Army can engage an enemy force while planning the next step in warfare.
– In the past, soldiers were needed to scout and send information about the enemy’s movements. Today, it takes place with the help of drones that are connected through ISTAR. It makes warfare more effective and reduces casualties on the battlefield, says the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the Chartiia Brigade.
