It is the Nobel Foundation that decides the practice for invitations in both Sweden and Norway.
– We would have liked to have a joint practice in Stockholm and Oslo, we won’t be able to do that this time. In Oslo this is not a theme, all ambassadors are invited there, says Nobel Foundation CEO Vidar Helgesen to TV4 Nyheterna.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko says that Russia should also be excluded from the ceremony in Oslo.
“We thank all who demanded the restoration of justice. We are convinced that a similar decision should be made regarding the Russian and Belarusian ambassadors in Oslo,” writes Nikolenko on his Facebook.
In Oslo, over the years, they have consistently invited all ambassadors in the country to the award ceremony of the peace prize.
