The destruction of the Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine caused flooding in the surrounding areas on Tuesday, June 6. The hydroelectric power station of Kakhova is a strategic place which supplied water in particular to the annexed peninsula of Crimea. The situation of the Zaporijjia nuclear power plant, located 150 kilometers upstream, is also worrying.
